Managing Crisis with Management Education

The present COVID-19 pandemic has shaken the world, including the education sector. Across the globe, educational institutes are trying to search the ways to get the teaching-learning continued. During this crisis, one word that is found common is Management. Be it the political leaders, or doctors, or business people, or educators, everyone is trying to manage the crisis. So, that’s where the importance of management education holds its roots. India is a land of guru-shishya paramapara for ages. That’s the principle practiced at The NorthCap University in true sense. Every student gets a hand holding by a mentor. A student enrolled in a management course, learns the fundamentals of managing a business and also managing self. We at NCU focus on students acquiring knowledge and skills in the field of Digital Marketing and Business Analytics to enhance the reach of brands and businesses across cultures, geographies, and demographics and learn to analyze data in order to secure meaningful information necessary for businesses in crafting strategies. The study disciplines range from Marketing Management and Human resources management and Financial Management to Operations Management. Management education focuses on communication skills, ethical conduct, and personality development of an individual, which can help him emerge as a leader. Not only a student learns about managing a business; instead, he/she gets a complete idea about becoming an entrepreneur. Post pandemic period may leave behind a strong wave of recession, with job uncertainties, that’s where an entrepreneur can support the economies and self as well. Management education leads to selfreliance, which is required in the times of crisis and post-crisis as well. It enables individuals to bring innovative ideas into practice, which can reform the world.
